Friday 16th March
Hayley back in hospital since Monday. She is having problems all over the place. She is delusionary, frightened and having lots of seizures again. As soon as we have seen her we will give a proper update.

Tuesday 27th February
Caroline has gone round to see Hayley today. We saw her at the weekend. She was proud to show us her "new" bedroom - it's fantastic! Everything a young lady could want, except Leonardo DiCaprio, of course. She has been having a good few days and seems really cheerful!

Birthday Report!
Hayley had a fantastic birthday. Thanks to everyone who sent messages and cards. We all went for a meal at Jailhouse Rock, an American-style restaurant. Hayley had chicken wings and a huge rack of ribs! She had waffles and cream for dessert.
The best part of the meal was when Minnie Mouse brought the cake out and everybody sang "Happy Birthday" to her! She had her face painted with a little Minnie motif and told us that she was so very happy.
Hope you enjoy the pictures below!

Tuesday 13th February 2001
Hayley is at home now. She didn't have a good weekend. She slept very little and was being sick constantly. She came to visit us on Sunday and spent most of the time asleep on the sofa. We showed her "How's Hayley?" and she loved her guestbook. So, please, keep signing it!
The test results at Great Ormond Street should be ready in six (!) weeks time and we don't anticipate (barring emergencies) Hayley being re-admitted prior to any results coming through.

Friday 9th February 2001
Hayley has recovered well from her lumbar puncture, skin biopsy, bone-marrow biopsy and general anaesthetic. She had another MRI scan today and it all went well. She is coming home tonight and hopefully won't have to go back in next week. She is looking forward to seeing her Dad on Sunday. We're all counting down the days to her 14th birthday on the 18th of February, send her a message through her very own guestbook.

Summer 1999
The last time that Hayley was really well. We all went to Cornwall to see the Solar Eclipse. It was a great holiday. We flew in a ten-seater plane, ate cream teas and swam in the sea. We went for bike rides and Hayley rode hers into the river! We still think she was looking for the source of the Nile! This is a special picture for us, Hayley looks so relaxed and happy.

October 2000
Hayley in our local hospital. She was admitted because of abnormalities in the brain. She has seizures and has a significant loss of mobility. Her concentration span is limited to a few minutes. We are awaiting results of tests that Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital have carried out. No-one really knows what the problem(s) are, what the cause may be and what the future holds.
